Is it too bad to be a realist and a feminist? Seeing the situation of women worldwide today, it is only natural, as it is seeing the situation of our nature we can only logically be careful!
Well, I'd be happy to find likeminded penfriends who care for each living being & for the wellbeing of women. I'm a woman of 38, love to be creative with words, books, tea, travelling, dancing, yoga and cats.

Kristin from Norway (Nov 2008)
I am a married mum to a 3-year-old girl. Work 4 days a week now after having worked full-time for 10+ years. Trying as best as I can to find the right balance between work life and family life, and have come to the conclusion that there are never enough hours in one day, days in one week, weeks in one month and months in one year!

Love spending time on my own, being creative, daydreaming, walking barefooted in the sand, watching the waves of the ocean and admiring spectacular sunsets. :) I’m a positive person and always see the glass as half full. Love to laugh and always try to see the comedy in everyday situations. Life is too short to be miserable all the time, and so I try to make the best out of what I have - which is not always what I wish I had - but that is a different story… :).

I enjoy writing letters, reading, scrapbooking, card making, photography, walking, exercising, travelling, London, shopping, re-discovering the world through the eyes of my daughter, solitude, a good meal with friends, movies, people-watching, scented candles, Christmas lit streets, the sea, daydreaming, the Eurovision Song Contest, royalty, Henry VIII, Vikings, people watching & comedy.

I am looking for just a hand-full sincere, genuine and honest women (25-45) who write snail mail letters (handwritten or typed are both fine, mine are usually 6+ pages typed), and who enjoy writing about their daily life, family, hopes, dreams, current affairs, history, culture, problems, solutions, hobbies, our hometowns, and the list goes on.

Prefer to write to other mums or those in a relationship (whether common law or marriage). Mums with one or more children under 5 are especially welcome! I do not want to exclude anyone who is single and feel that we have enough in common to make life interesting, so you are more than welcome to write too. Don’t worry, I do not only write about babies, motherhood and the shortcomings of men, but I do not want to feel there is limitation to what I can and cannot write about to my penpals. This works both ways of course!

I feel letter writing should be a pleasure and not a chore, so therefore I write when I have the time and something to say, not because someone expects a letter at a certain time. Having said that, it’s not easy to build a friendship on that one letter a year either, so if you only write once or twice a year or you expect a letter in return after two weeks, we should probably not write to each other.

Last, but not least, you must be willing to write the first letter. I only think it is fair that if you contact me you write first, and if I contact you I write first. I make no exceptions to this, sorry!

Disappointed from England (Nov 2008)
Hi, I'm 36 years old and married with 3 children 10 and under. I have been palling for many years but am specifically looking for people who prefer to write handwritten long letters on a regular basis. I know people get busy but I believe that true friendships need time to build the trust and one letter every 3 or 4 months is just too easy to forget. I hate writing about Christmas when it's Easter!! Although I prefer handwritten I don't mind the odd typed letter if you're falling behind or if you feel your handwriting isn't easy to read. I would like to find a few pals who are genuine - I'm not looking to fill my address book with lots of people who perhaps write regularly but not very much or write sporadically but very long letters - I want pals inbetween who take their friendships seriously and will chat about anything from life's problems to all the happy things, their work, children and anything getting them down. Friends are meant to be there through the rough and the smooth. I would prefer if you had children because obviously I do mention my kids alot. I also have dogs and love all animals. I am really into my letter writing but also various paper crafts, reading, listening to music and I love american tv shows so watch alot of tv. Not really a big fan of British tv. I am not looking for romance of any kind or mail from Africa - any messages like this will be immediately deleted.

Anyway if all this sounds like you please e-mail me with all your details including address and if I think we can become good friends I will write to you. If you don't hear back from me it may be that I've just taken on too many pals for the time being. Thanks for reading.
Imma from Australia (Nov 2008)
Hi everyone :) I'm 37 years young and live in a remote area of Western Australia. I am happily married (most of the time) and have 5 children living at home. I also have other children and step-children but they are scattered over this big country of ours so I rarely see them due to distance and costs involved :( I'm a TRUE long letter pal - I tend to write extremely long and chatty letters to the right person. As once I feel comfortable in a friendship I am happy to chat on and on :) If you like to write and receive letters that are fat and often cost you extra to mail because they are so fat and heavy - I am your pal :) I admit that I get disappointed if someone says they are a long letter pal but consistantly writes 2-3 a5 pages. I am sorry but I don't consider that a long letter! Whilst saying all this up front - I guess at least you can say I am honest... You will hear from me when I have time to answer your letter - as True long letters take many hours to write. I prefer QUALITY LONG letters over quantity... and I am looking to make friends whom are here for the long haul. That are willing to wait to hear from me if my kids or I am sick... I guess you know what I am saying? No matter what plans and good intentions you have - life gets in the way alot. I personally prefer to write and receive handwritten letters - The odd typed letter is fine... as I do type sometimes. Ok - onto what mischief I get up to in my life :) I enjoy doing the following things :) Crochet, knitting, cross stitch, cooking, baking, Going to the beach, bbq'ing with friends, making address labels, entering competitions, making cards, gardening, spending time enjoying nature, photography, picnics, playgroup, walking the dog, playing with the cat, vegeing out in front of the tv or a good movie, surfing the net, playing games on facebook... and more that I just can't think of now... I collect... stash for my hobbies (stationery, pens, stickets, yarn, patterns etc) and snowglobes. Although my children are a large part of my life and will be mentioned in my letters - I do not just talk about them... If there is anyone out there that would like to trade 6" crochet squares for a friendship blanket - please contact me. I would also love to join any round robins that are going around for these :) Anyway - I best go and do some housework - totally not my favourite thing to do with my time but hey - it has to be done... If you think you would like to be friends with me - drop me a line and we can go from there - btw Imma is NOT my real name. Take Care - Hugs Imma xx
