| Samantha from England (Apr 2013) | |
Looking for a good and a loyal (potential) friend that will be there for you, will listen to your problems no matter how many times you tell me about them because that's what a friend is right? Someone that cares, is there for you in time of need, has some certain amount of time for you and is in reasonable contact and is there for you when it REALLY MATTERS? So many people forget that now days... Friendship can't be judged on how many pages people do or do not write. Yes letters have to be some length and in depth so you get to know someone but I don't like it when people demand how long a letter should be on their profiles, what paper to write on e.t.c..It makes me think you are more interested in pages and quantity not quality or friendship.... I'm mainly looking for a FEW females in English speaking countries and Western Europe but happy for other countries. I only ask that you have a good standard of English. This is essential. Interested? Then drop me a message, make me interested in you being one of those that I write to! Tell me about you, why you think we may be good friends, why you are interested in writing to people maybe. No 2 lines please, I won't answer those. | |

| Hi! I'm soon 31 years old woman living in the south of England. I'm from Finland but have lived in UK for some years now. I love to receive long chatty letters and write the same back. I love to read and watch TV and movies. I love our couch, I could easily spend a two week holiday on it. I do enjoy going out too but usually I just prefer staying home. I love travelling, not the actual flying part but the visiting new countries and seeing new places part. I don't really mind where you are from. I can also write to people from UK or Finland. But I do love hearing from different nationalities. If you feel like you would like to know more about me, send me an email! :) Oh I should probably also mention that I have a very sarcastic sense of humor so if you can't handle sarcasm, you probably can't handle me. And I am looking for female pen pals only. | |

| Regnbue (29) from Austria (Apr 2013) | |
| Dear future friend(s), If you are looking for someone to exchange long letters with, I am very happy to tell you that your search might be over this very second. ;-) I have been in love with pen palling for a long, long time now (about 17-18 years, I think) and I do not think I will ever fall out of love with this wonderful way of getting to know new people from all over the world. My letters tend to be long and fatty-fatty-fat; I enjoy using stationery and stickers and creating my own colourful sheets and envelopes. When you open one of my letters, what you will find inside is an extensive number of sheets filled with several (or all) of the following things: random stuff such as thoughts on washing machines and newly planted flowers, ideas, hopes, dreams (both sorts of them, daydreams and "nightdreams" ;)), sorrows, problems, thoughts on people I fancy, things I would like to achieve, questions about you and your life and, of course, many, many sentences about everything that is going on in our world,... I write down absolutely every kind of thought that comes to my mind and I hope you like doing that as well because it would be rather boring to limit one's conversation to two or three topics only, don't you think so too? I am a very friendly girl, shy (sometimes), a little introvert, emotional and sensitive, with a great sense of humour. Some of the things I love are: my family, my friends, bookshops, music, receiving and writing long letters, nature, animals, tableware, languages, cultures, lifestyles, making other people happy, pineapples, freshly mown grass, poppy fields, the moon, getting up early in the morning, poetry, psychology, violin music, the morning sun, rain, the sea, concerts, rainbows, trees,....there are so many things which make me happy!! Also, I would like to explain some of my interests in more detail in the hope of finding one or two like-minded people among you: - languages: German is my mother tongue, I also speak English (as you can see) ;-) and I am trying to teach myself French, Italian and Swedish. I fancy Danish, Dutch and Irish too, as well as every other language spoken in our world. So just in case you are a language addict as well, I am sure we would be a "perfect match". - Regency romance / historical novels and whatever they may be called: Jane Austen's treasures and a number of BBC adaptations, Elizabeth Gaskell, the BBC’s "North & South", and Eloisa James, Georgette Heyer, Lisa Kleypas...need I say more? - I could fill pages with fantasies about my favourite actors (they hail from Denmark, Ireland, the UK and Sweden) and I would love to find someone who does a bit of daydreaming as well. Maybe we even have the same taste in men, who knows? ;-) - I adore poetry. Let's swap some of our favourites...even if I don't understand a word because the poem is written in a language I can't speak or read, I would still love to receive it and have a look at it because that's what poetry does to me...makes me crave more and more and...well, you get the idea! ;-) However, there are also some things (not many, I promise), or rather some attitudes people have which I wish to avoid, so I should probably tell you about those right now, before we start writing. Here I go: - I am not religious and I can't stand people who try to convert me. I enjoy discussing religious topics though because beliefs of all kinds have always fascinated me. - I also can't stand narrow-mindedness – I get along a lot better with rebels, freethinkers and in general with people who don't run with the pack, but who love to develop ideas of their own. In other words: I value friends with an independent mind! - I really like children, but I am not a mother and to be honest, I am not so keen on writing about children only in my letters. I once had a pen friend whose only topic were her children, nothing else mattered. Most probably I would act exactly like her if I were in her place, but as I am not, I would prefer to write to people who enjoy discussing many different topics, from A as in anthropology to Z as in Zeus-and-all-the-other-Greek-gods. ;-) Pheeeew!! ;-) If you are still with me after having read all that, you are probably my kind of pen friend and a possible friend for life :-) and so I would be very, very happy to hear from you! All I ask is that you are a "long letter person", that you are patient (I am afraid that long letters cannot be written within 2-3 days) and that you are willing to write the first letter. ;-) It does not matter where you are from or how old you are, I love talking to everyone because I believe that we all lead an interesting life and have some great ideas waiting to be shared. All the best! xxx | |

| Jennifer from USA (Apr 2013) | |
| Hello! My name is Jennifer I am 28 going on 29 years old. I am married and have 2 step children and one on the way! Yes, this is my first child!! I am from California which is located in the USA. I am looking for pen pals all over the world but I would only like female pen pals NO MEN! I dont mind getting letters on plain paper or the fancy stuff, to me a good letter is based on the content inside not by how it looks! I dont do the whole "stamps back" thing so if your one of those kind of pen pals please dont end your search here. I like to learn about other cultures, their holidays, festivals, the foods, where is some of the popular areas, etc. I try to write back the same day but sometimes, due to stamps, it might take me a little longer since I order my stamps online and sometimes they take longer then I expect. I am very open to everything and anything! I dont judge people for being themselves! I hope I sound like someone you would like to become pen friends with please feel free to contact me. P.S. I wont send money to anyone! Im probably just as broke as you are, Im not looking for love (im happily married), I dont send stamps back I expect you to keep mine so I would like to keep yours! And if your a man, even if your just looking for a friend Im not interested so please dont feel free to write. | |
