Hello there. :)
It's been a long time since I last put an ad online, looking for new penpals. For several years now I've been perfectly happy with the pals I have, and I still am. I'm not a very social person at all in "real life" due to personal reasons, so my penpals and online friends are my true friends.

I am only looking to meet a couple of new people. I enjoy writing anything from "short" 2-3 page letters to "long" 6-8 page letters. I tend to use nice stationery, but really, it's the content of the letter that matters... not the choice of cartoon character on the sheet itself. I do not follow any silly "penpalling rules"; meaning... my letters may be short this time, long next time; I may write back super fast or I may take a while. I have a lot of personal issues that tend to prevent me from writing, so I ask that no pressure be put on me. Penpalling is not about how many letters you write per year, what kind of stationery you use, how neat your handwriting is... Penpalling is about friendship, simple as that.

Anyway, here's some basic stuff about me...

~ female, born in 1984 (turning 29 in march)
~ in a long-term relationship.
~ no kids (but I don't mind if you have kids!)
~ vegetarian / environmentalist (not the pushy kind, don't worry - I hate those too!)
~ lover of nature, animals, birds, insects... everything that lives, pretty much.
~ bookworm! I'm always reading! I love reading pretty much anything... my personal library counts close to 3500 books, so yeah.
~ I enjoy watching UK comedy (such as Father Ted, Little Britain, Keeping Up Appearances, One Foot in the Grave, Monty Python, The Inbetweeners, etc etc etc), documentaries, anime... and I love South Park, lol.
~ love music! listen to pretty much everything, a complete omnivore when it comes to music. One moment I may have some metal on, the next I'll be listening to trance, followed by world music. I just really, really love music.
~ I'm a bit of a language nerd... Besides being fluent in my native Icelandic and of course English, I have excellent understanding of Danish, Swedish. Norwegian and Faroese. I am currently studying Italian and also know the basics of French, German and Spanish.
~ I love history, folklore, mystical things, mysteries, the occult... and I am convinced that unicorns and dragons exist, so there!
~ I enjoy drawing and writing. The dream is to be able to write and illustrate my own books.
~ Travelling... is simply one of my favorite things! This year I'll be going to England, Finland and Estonia!
~ I collect some things... mainly 1980's "My Little Pony" toy horses, but also scenic post/viewcards.

I've surely forgotten some things... but I feel this is plenty enough for now. :) So, now it's your turn! Drop me a line if you thing we have potential to become good friends, and be sure to tell me some stuff about youself! A simple "hi, let's be penpals" will not warrant a reply, I'm afraid. :/
